Hello and welcome to our guide for the linearization assistant. Since the process contains many steps and every user has a different background knowledge and/or experience with our software this guide is divided into 3 parts. This way we ensure that you can just skip to the part where you need some more information or hints.
New media profiles were added to the website for the Ricoh Pro L4100 Series.
Version 8.01 is available on our website! It contains a new screening method (Custom Screen) which replaces the PostScript screening. Furthermore several drivers and bugfixes could be implemented.
With version 8 our dongles use a new encryption method which offers a higher security level.
Unfortunately this encryption is not supported by Windows XP, which causes an incompatibility between this OS and our Version 8. Even though this decision was not easy, it was the right one. Windows XP was introduced to the market in 2001 and its support will be discontinued on April 8th 2014. Working with Windows XP will cause high security risks from then on.
Microsoft is highly recommending to upgrade the OS – and so do we.
In case of any questions please let us know.
This is to help you with the creation and usage of linearizations for special inks.
Recently many customers ask us how to transfer their settings from Productionserver 7 to Productionserver 8 when doing an upgrade. Don’t worry, it is not difficult at all, you just need to keep a few things in mind.
This article describes how Productionserver 8 and our other products store jobs in the file system.
I am sure you know the option to select pre-defined media sizes in ColorGATE. But now, users can create their own formats for individual roll and sheet sizes.
