But what is MAPS2 you may ask? And which advantages do these supported print modes have? These and other questions will be answered in the below blog.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Advantages of MAPS2 supported print modes:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Less Gloss effects (Gloss banding)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Less bandings<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Increased uniformity of print<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>When is MAPS2 supported?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>MAPS2 is supported in print modes shown in the table below. It is important to know that <strong>only<\/strong> these settings are supported. Example: If you change Resolution <strong>600\u00d7900<\/strong>VD (Dot Size: <strong>V<\/strong>ariable <strong>D<\/strong>ot), <strong>12 Pass<\/strong>, <strong>High speed<\/strong> to <strong>Normal speed<\/strong> <strong>MAPS2 will not be used.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"634\" reduce the total ink, the less problems we are having with gloss bandings. You will be getting a matter print out however. Please note you will not be getting the depth of black as when not using an extreme reduction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Gamut Gamut Mapping<\/strong> This option increases the saturation of the profile, so you will get stronger colors, but of course not colorfast. This might be negative in critical color like skins or similar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We hope this blog was informative and has cleard up questions you may have had concerning MAPS2.
